After years of raising and homeschooling my kids while holding down a job outside my home, I was left feeling stretched thin and half dead. I'd look in the mirror and see only a shell of the person I once was. I felt lost, unhappy, and invisible.
I had spent years focusing all my energy on my kids without giving a thought to my own needs or desires. It wasn't until I hit the point where I had nothing left to give and couldn't care less that I realized something needed to change.
That's when I discovered the 8 Dimensions of Wellness and learned there's definitely more to life than drudging along and occasionally coming up for air. That apparently being a parent, doesn't have to mean being full of resentment and despair.
Through my research, I discovered I had allowed guilt and self-doubt control my every thought and decision, therefore letting it be my motivation behind everything I did. Something needed to change. That change began within me and blossomed into a new life I could be proud to call mine.
Now I get the pleasure of sharing all I've learned with you.
